Transnational Business Law
Master Droit européenParcours Espace de liberté, de sécurité et de justice

Description

The new course on Transnational Business Law, taught by professor Caroline Kleiner, is designed to familiarize you with the body of laws that govern international business transactions, that is, legal relations between entities operating across nation state borders.

This course will provide an overview of the international legal environment, from national or supranational legislation (e.g. conflict of law rules) to transnational rules (e.g. the UNIDROIT principles) and international conventions (the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of goods) that may govern transnational private relationships.

The course will be particularly focused on transnational sales, transnational companies and transnational litigation through arbitration.

Transnational business legal practice also implicates broader issues of globalization. Accordingly, throughout the semester, the changing nature of global governance will also be addressed.
